Mid-19th century console or writing table, dated to circa 1850–1870, featuring a geometric parquetry top crafted from contrasting ash and oak veneers.
The table is fitted with two drawers integrated into the apron, each framed with molded detailing and original key escutcheons. The piece stands on four elegantly turned legs typical of European furniture from the second half of the 19th century.
The parquetry top displays a repeating diamond pattern with a strong architectural character and carefully selected wood grain throughout.
The table has undergone a complete restoration in our workshop, including structural stabilization, surface refinishing and preservation of the original character of the wood.
Finished in a satin sheen highlighting the natural depth and contrast of the parquetry.
