Delightful pair of mid to late 20th century brass mantel ornaments in the form of traditional andirons. Each features a sculptural elephant base with raised trunk and engraved blanket details. Decorative only (no back supports), made to mimic the look of classic firedogs. Tall turned stems give them nice height and presence on a mantel, console, or fireplace. Warm aged patina with a collected feel—easy to style in both traditional and eclectic spaces.
