Regardless of the style of your existing decor, you can add a touch of timeless British Colonial design to any interior space as long as there is a unifying element, such as color, texture or pattern. The melding of British, Asian, African and Indian motifs resulted in British Colonial style and decor. It is a style that is relaxed, layered and full of character. Inspired by the age of exploration, this style brings together classic British interiors with natural materials and influences from Africa, India, Asia and the Caribbean. It blends refined foundations with collected, travel-inspired elements.

This fabulous pair of elephant motif table or console lamps, with whimsical tasseled silk shades, will provide a striking decorative accent atop a sideboard, flanking a fireplace mantel or as head-turning, tall bedside or side tables. Crafted in the manner of John-Richard. There is no makers mark, however. Each lamp has a simple on/off rotary switch. Each lamp will a accommodate a 60-watt bulb (two bulbs are included); weight for the pair 10 lbs. 6 oz. Each lamp measures 32½” x 6” x 6” H/W/D (height taken from top of finial to base). Fabricated from a mixture of brass, iron and steel with an antiqued brass finish. Hardback silk covered shades measure 9”x 6” x 6” apiece; in excellent condition and done in soft neutral shades of mocha with hints of pale toffee and golden undertones. The pair is in excellent condition with little to no wear.
