This is an extraordinary opportunity to own a complete, 66-piece service for 12 of Wedgwood’s iconic "Gold Columbia (Sage Green)" fine bone china. This set was purchased and stored immediately in quilted protective cases; it has never seen a table and remains in flawless, factory-fresh condition.
FEATURING 6 RARE RIM SOUP BOWLS
This collection is enhanced by six 8-inch Rim Soup Bowls (also known as soup plates). Unlike standard cereal bowls, these feature the full, ornate gold griffin border across a wide rim, making them the centerpiece of a formal table setting. These pieces were an optional luxury addition and are in the same flawless, unused condition as the rest of the service.
PATTERN HISTORY & DESIGN
Produced in England between 1966 and 2014, the Gold Columbia (Sage Green) pattern (R4409) is one of Wedgwood's most regal designs. It features a soft sage green border adorned with intricate 22-carat gold silk-screened "Griffins"—mythological guardians of treasure—interspersed with delicate floral motifs and a classic gold rim.
