Rear base with double legs connected by a stretcher. Backrest and seat upholstered in quilted gray leather.

between 1926 and 1928, eileen gray collaborated with jean badovici on an architectural masterpiece: villa e-1027 in roquebrune-cap-martin. For this project, she designed all the furniture, including the iconic transat chair, created around 1927. Its name refers to the abbreviation of "transatlantic," evoking the deck chairs on ocean liners.
