These pieces … Read more A refined pair of British lounge chairs, dating from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period (circa 1890–1910). These pieces exemplify the restrained elegance typical of domestic English furniture from the turn of the century — practical, well-proportioned, and built to last.

Each chair is crafted from solid beech wood, featuring turned front legs on original brass castors, a hallmark of the era. The structure is solid and beautifully balanced, with softly shaped armrests and a generous seat depth that speaks to their original function as reading or salon chairs.

The chairs have been meticulously restored in our studio in Poland. The wooden frames were cleaned and re-finished to enhance the natural grain, while preserving the original joinery and construction.
The seat and backrest have been reupholstered using a genuine vintage jacquard fabric sourced from a private archive. This richly woven textile, featuring a classical floral motif, is authentic to the period — not a reproduction — making these chairs especially valuable for collectors and design purists.

The result is a set that feels both historically grounded and visually striking. Ideal for interiors that value authenticity, understated luxury and quiet craftsmanship. See less
