The sheer size of this vase shows the incredible technique of the glass blower. The exterior of the cobalt blue vase has free form splashes and shapes on the white background. The interior is all cobalt blue.The bands of blue and white ribbons on the top edge add a polished finishing touch that is absent from lesser quality pieces. The pontil is quite obvious on the base. I am not familiar with glass blowing techniques but how was the vase made with a completely blue interior, and a vastly different from the cobalt blue splashes on the white is very intriguing.
