The artisan has worked the soft stone with remarkable depth and detail, creating layered floral sprays, pieced openings and delicately incised petals. Subtle natural color variations in the soapstone - ranging from light ochres to deeper russet or brown tones. The colors enhance the sculptural composition and give the arrangement a lively organic feel.
