Elegant French Louis XV-style marquetry writing table, late 19th century, likely made in France and believed to have been from the consignor’s French great-grandmother’s family collection. The rectangular top features intricate marquetry inlaid veneers bordered with brass banding, raised on four slender tapering legs terminating in brass sabots. Each of the four drawers is functional—three are lined with paper covered in silk, and one is lined with a soft velvet-like fabric, a refined detail typical of fine French craftsmanship of the period.
