19th C. Chinese Export British Market Centerpiece Bowl
Unusual burnt orange autumnal color way with turkey birds / fowl in front of a chapel - traditional harvest season themes.
11.25" across diameter on a 5.25" tall pedestal.
Beautiful border with four unique images - hummingbird like sparrows or swallows and beautiful florals.
Proper English market mark on the bottom - Ridgways Indus with supporting artisan codes.

This is lovely piece of 19th C. Porcelain, but two elements stand out:
* the color way - when was the last time you saw proper 19th C. Porcelain in orange and rust and copper?!
* the fabulous faded and crackling finish which flows from cream to khaki and sand.
We love traditional porcelains and still use them in our daily lives. But, this piece is truly unusual, and will once yet improve further with age.
