An extraordinary example of early Nippon porcelain artistry by Noritake, dating to the late 19th–early 20th century. This hand-painted bowl features a lavish design of raised gold moriage beading, floral medallions with hand-painted roses, and an ornate scalloped rim highlighted in heavy gilt.
The fine detail and dimensional texture are hallmarks of Nippon craftsmanship from this era, produced before Japan’s export name transitioned to “Noritake” in the 1920s. The underside bears the “Hand Painted Nippon” wreath mark, used between 1891–1915, authenticating it as an antique pre-war piece.
Perfect as a display centerpiece, vanity catchall, or cabinet jewel — this bowl captures the romantic opulence of the Belle Époque and early Art Nouveau period.
