Stunning Antique (1820s) Wedgwood Drabware molded leaf bowl. This piece is a homogenous color body ceramic base. Drabware was the first coloured body introduced by Wedgwood in the early 1800s, and has a greenish-brown hue to the clay. The bowl has a a wide leaf design to exterior and impressed "Wedgewood" mark. Smear Glazed.
The only piece like this that we can find sold at a Bonhams Skinner Auction in 2003 for $646, which would be $1,151.84 today, if adjusted for inflation.
This piece is in absolutely stunning fine condition considering it is over 200 years old. Superb quality and rare to have survived as well as this has.
