The solid wooden frame has been carefully cleaned, reinforced, and hand-painted with Annie Sloan chalk paint in a refined heather grey tone, then protected with high-quality wax for a smooth, durable finish. Hand-carved floral motifs have been subtly gilded and patinated, adding depth and sophistication.

The upholstery has been completely renewed using Dekoma – Marlon, colour Irys 12, a premium tartan fabric with a timeless Scottish check pattern. Known for its exceptional durability (50,000 Martindale rubs) and easy maintenance, this textile ensures both everyday functionality and long-lasting beauty.

True to the Louis Philippe style, the piece features cabriole legs, a generous and comfortable seat, and a fully upholstered backrest and armrests. The elegant curves and ornamental detailing reflect the grandeur of French Romantic-era design (1830–1848), while the choice of fabric and colour palette introduces a distinctly modern vintage appeal.
