This late 20th century Ming-style console began as a stained wood table, with curved legs ending in squared feet, a shaped apron, and a two-pane glass top. We painted it French blue and gilded it in our Fractured Gilt, gold leaf laid in broken, irregular passes over the blue and finished with a fine fly speckle, so the blue shows through like age. The finish is newly painted and hand finished in our Atelier.

Two panes of beveled glass sit in the top, divided by a center rail, and let the legs show through. The table measures 53" wide, 15" deep, and 26" high, a size for an entry wall, behind a sofa, or beneath a mirror. In the style of Billy Baldwin, Dorothy Draper, James Mont, and Tony Duquette, it suits Palm Beach Regency, Hollywood Regency, Chinoiserie, and Grandmillennial rooms. Light blue and gold give the table an easy, coastal glamour.
