Absolutely gorgeous antique, hand painted fine porcelain plates from the esteemed 19th C. French company Haviland & Co. Perfect for setting an elegant table or displaying in a china cabinet or on a wall.
The design features a white center field surrounded by an interlocking gilt chain border and a creamy white rim adorned with dazzling rose blossoms and foliage and finished with a scalloped and gilt edge. Incredibly beautiful. Mark en verso of Haviland France (underglaze green) and Haviland & Co. Limoges (underglaze red) dates the pieces as early as 1874.
Very good antique condition, no crazing, no cracks. A few small edge chips which are not readily noticeable due to the intricacy of the scalloped edge design. Amazing condition for cherished pieces enjoyed for over 150 years.
