A fabulous pair of 1960’s Estelle and Erwine Laverne Champagne chairs with original Jack Lenor Larsen fabric cushions. We’ve had the lucite on these professionally polished to remove the scratches and they look great. The fabric is original but the cording was faded so our upholsterer replaced only the cording with a vintage matching fabric. The bases we have left alone. The bases have marks and scratches but look perfectly acceptable for 60+ year old chairs. One chair swivels fine, but one no longer swivels. They rock a bit but are stable.
One seat cushions retain the Laverne label and the bottoms are both signed Laverne NY-22
It’s rare to fine these in original fabric of this quality.
