Elegance from the elongated shapes and creative designs are hallmarks of the Usaburo workshop. This doll is taller than the traditional Kokeshi dolls. She has a helmet like wig which covers most of her face, making her very demure with her downcast eyes. She wears a short brown kimono decorated with red and white four petal plum blossoms. The wood grain on the brown kimono is a nice contrast to the plain wood base, the same color as her helmet. On the bottom of the doll is a three character name of the artist written in calligraphy and his seal in red.

Usaburo dolls differ from the traditional Kokeshi dolls by the elongated shape and colorful kimonos, as compared to the cylindrical and compact shapes of the traditional dolls. The distinctive expressions on the dolls' faces and their heights are heads above.
