This is a flow … Read more Wonderful late 1800's New Wharf Pottery flow blue ironstone dinner plate. This piece measures 9 1/2". This is a flow blue plate in a lovely floral pattern called "Lois". Flow blue pottery's main characteristic was that the blue printed design was encouraged to flow or seep into the glaze during the firing process. This example has a very deep cobalt shade of blue, which contrasts nicely with the white ground. See less
