A refined late-19th-century Hepplewhite Revival writing or dressing table, beautifully crafted in bird’s-eye maple with delicate line inlay outlining the top. The bow-front drawers and tapering legs lend a light, elegant silhouette typical of Federal-style revival furniture circa 1890–1915.
Retains its original brass ring pulls and hand-cut dovetail joinery—a mark of true craftsmanship. The warm maple surface shows subtle figuring throughout, making this a luminous accent for bedroom, study, or entryway.
COLLECTOR'S NOTE
Bird’s-eye maple, a rare figure in hard maple, was prized in 19th-century America for its natural shimmer and fine grain. It symbolized taste and refinement—often used on the finest Federal revival pieces made by workshops in New England and the Midwest around 1900.
