Timeless elegant beauties with a French Baroque design that pays homage to a style of candleholders that were popular in the 19th-century. This trio was made in the late 20th-century, and whether topped by candles, decorative orbs or spheres, topiaries or nothing at all, they do make a captivating statement. Crafted from what I believe to be resin which mimics an antique ebonized wood look-and-feel with distressed faux gilt accenting the acanthus leaf and petal relief pattern; cupped tops are black painted metal. Square pedestal base has an acanthus leaf relief motif with the same color palette as the upper portion of the holders. They measure as follows:

Large: 18” x 6” x 6” H/W/D; 3½” interior cupped top diameter
Medium: 14” x 5” x 5” H/W/D; 3½” interior cupped top diameter
Small: 10” x 4½” x 4½” H/W/D; 3½” interior cupped top diameter

Together the set weighs 7 lbs. 9 oz. Intentional distressing presents as an aged, antiqued look. In excellent condition with age-appropriate wear. Of note, there is one, mostly indiscernible chip on the underside of the small one and a similar chip on the underside of the medium size one (see photos 7 & 8) which do not affect their beauty or utility. Maker unknown. Lovely to look at and substantial in size with classical detailing to flank your fireplace mantle, console or entryway table. Their design will complement and elevate a transitional décor style beautifully!
