What a fantastic piece from P. Ipsens Pottery. Ipsens was a Danish potter who handcrafted pieces until the mid 1950's. This is a plate or a dish which has a lizard around part of the rim. The lizard is wonderful. His expression almost seems as if he is smiling. The colors are green, brown and oranges.
Stamped on the bottom with a crown, PIE,138, and VII,.
It measures 1 3/4 inches high by 8 3/4 inches and is in excellent condition.
One minor paint chip on back foot.
