A Grand Prix De L'Horlogerie 1878. Patented French carriage clock named Vainqueur (Winner). The four-leaf clover design has a beautiful top handle and thick faceted glass (beveled glass). This rare clock has a nickel-plated brass case. In the brass frame, there is an oval window in the upper part with a handle, through which the mesmerizing action of the mechanism can be observed. The white face of the clock displays Roman numerals and a second dial at the bottom. On the back of the clock are winding keys with the inscriptions "Grand Prix De L'Horlogerie 1878" and "Déposé Breveté". Manufacturer's mark on the back plate of the movement.

Working condition
General condition: some wear of the nickel coating. The alarm clock does not have a stop lever. The alarm clock rings for about 20 seconds. The clock is in excellent running order and the alarm works correctly however, since it is an antique, it is being sold with no warranty or guarantee of accuracy. The mechanism is in excellent working condition, disassembled, cleaned, and oiled.
