There is a pontil to the base bottom, as image indicates. There is a minor spot, or textural aspect, indicative to when the blower, handled the item in process of production perhaps from glove or textural component used to handle piece, before it cured, does not detract whatsoever to piece, and to underside near a fluted area, very minute, but stunning piece. It's quite a heavy handed, solid and thick, quality piece of Murano, between 5-7 lbs. heavy. It is difficult to discern, but 3/4 of the way down, toward the interior, is a sold thick glass layer with thick gold leaf foil and encased in the rest of base body of shape. No chips, or flea bites, in excellent condition.
