With Glass … Read more This Really is an Absolutely Beautiful and Quite Rare Authentic Antique Hotel Front Desk Outgoing US Mail Box. With Glass Front. American in Origin. It Comes From the Classic Late Victorian Era - Circa late 19th Century. It is Completely Hand Made Out of Solid Mahogany and it Still Retains its Original Varnish that has Developed a Beautiful Color and Patina Over the Years. The Hand Oil Painted Lettering is Done in Classic Victorian Style Script and Reads - "POST Goes out 5,Clock" Note that The Letter Drop Slot on The Top is Framed with a Solid Brass Inlay ( Age Tarnished ). The Side Entry Door Has its Original Brass Locking Mechanism but Note! That I Does Not Come With a Functional Key. The Key that is Pictured in my Listing Works Well as a Handle to Open and Close the Door, and it Is Included but it Does Not Lock or Unlock. It is in Excellent All Original Condition - And it Displays Beautifully!.
