It was the Golden … Read more Vintage Home is pleased to present this stunning Hollywood Regency Vintage Side Chair from the 1960s. It was the Golden Era of Hollywood and red velvet, gold tassels and an updated faux cheetah fur fabric was all the rage then and again now. The chair’s history is fun too. Every year in Omaha, NE there is a regional exposition called Aksarben. (It’s Nebraska spelled backwards.) Retailers have booths to showcase their newest wares. A furniture store delivered four of these chairs for the event and then the owners took then home were they were used for many years and curated from their estate sale. The manufacturer was Showpieces by Lewitte out of New York. The Six-Sided chairs were covered in velvet with the color “Tiffany Lipstick”. When we acquired them, we reupholstered one side of the seat cushion because of wear and stains. The faux leopard was a natural option. Everything else is original and it’s stunning. The tag on the underside provides the history. We have 4 of these and can offer a “group” discount. Send an Ask the Seller for details.
