The frame is welded chrome-plated wire with complete scrollwork construction throughout. All welds are intact, all scroll curves are present and undamaged. The chrome shows surface dullness consistent with six decades of age — no pitting, no structural corrosion. Can be polished to a brighter finish.

The seat has been reupholstered and is not original. Current upholstery is in good condition with no tears or loose seams.

At 48 inches tall, this is the rare tall-back throne version of the American mid-century Hollywood Regency scroll chair. The standard version of this style runs 28–33 inches.
