A unique, handcrafted ceramic bowl from the Søholm studio (Axella Stentøj), designed by the renowned Danish artist Noomi Backhausen – an icon of Scandinavian design in the second half of the 20th century.
This is an object with a strong personality and an organic shape – its irregular, wavy edges give it an almost sculptural character. The surface of the bowl is covered with a smooth, beige glaze with a silky finish, which contrasts beautifully with the hand-painted, abstract motif in deep brown. The composition resembles a symbol, referring to the expression and creative freedom of the 1970s.
Each bowl of this type differs slightly in form and paintwork, making it one of a kind. The AXELLA Denmark signature confirms the authenticity and origin of the object.
