This fabulous pair of Thomas of Bavaria dessert or cake plates are created in a gorgeous white porcelain with hand painted pink flowers, green foliage and gold banding, named the "Sevres" pattern. One plate has three small groups of flowers. The other has a large sweep of flowers to the side.
Fritz Thomas founded the Porzellanfabrik, Thomas & Ens in Marktredwitz in 1904 in the German Franconian region. In 1908, the firm was taken over by Rosenthal. These lovely dishes are back stamped: "Thomas, Sevres, Bavaria." This particular back stamp was used from 1908-1922. Measurements for these fabulous creations are: Diameter=7-1/2 inches. These marvelous dishes are antique, appear to have never been used and are in immaculate condition, free from chips, cracks and other imperfections. They are perfect to combine with other patterns or to use as dessert dishes, particularly if you appreciate Art Nouveau design!
