The case is made of solid walnut with marquetry inlay details. In two parts with a curved shaped body, paneled sides and a chapeau de gendarme crown. Original glass panes. The enamel clock face has Roman numerals and a decorative embossed brass surround with a grape harvest scene. Seven day Morbier movement strikes on the hour and once on the half. Professionally cleaned and in working order. The clock is not original to the case and is of a later date. Superb craftsmanship with pegged and mortise and tenon construction. Beautiful wood grain with waxed patina. Pine as a secondary wood. Please refer to photos for more details. Circa 1820-1830. 101"H x 20"W x 12.5"D See less
