This RARE work of art is an example of the fine workmanship of the Chinese potters from the early 20th century. Nested inside the gourd shaped covered container we have 2 trays decorated with a poem on one side and a delicate painted story on the reverse.
Praying Mantis among grape vines on one and the other is a bird and dragonfly among lily pads. Gorgeous colors and notice the dynasty marks on the bottom of the box.
