From the influence … Read more Here is the most handsome pair of Eastlake style chairs I have seen in a long while. From the influence of Charles Lock Eastlake, in the period following the Rococo and Renaissance revival periods, these are decidedly sturdy, geometric in design, and steer away from more typical delicate furniture features of the Victorian Era.

The pair are supported by casters, have padded and upholstered arms and are ready to serve in both function and form.

Considering the classic design, deep red, midnight blue & gold brocade upholstery along with dark stain, these are an extremely versatile pair. I can see them in a dark library with midnight blue walls, or as standout pieces against a lighter backdrop.

Condition is very sturdy, very good to excellent upholstery and age-appropriate typical shallow signs of wear to the frames.

These were sourced from a large Eastside Seattle sprawling estate, which was filled to the brim with English antiques, china and equestrian items.
