This is a pair of antique side chairs. A superb quality French, painted solid walnut hall or occasional seat, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1850.
Appealing, solid antique chairs with fascinating details

Elaborate seat backs, profuse with relief carved details
Arched top rail terminates in scrolled 'ears' and adorned with acanthus leaf and feather detail
Cushions with green velour upholstery sit upon a tiered apron
Raised upon front cabriole legs with pad feet, decorated to the knee - gently splayed rear legs
