Although this German Black Forest 19th century framed wall clock no longer works, the beauty of its composition gives it another life as a work of art. Behind the glass, the clock dial is set in a beautifully répoussé (stamped) and hand-painted metal plate of floral design. Age and use have given the metal a great patina without fully changing the luster of the metal.
