Excellent Pre-Owned Condition.
This imposing beauty has been displayed in a myriad of settings, over the last 30 years, in all of our homes. It has flanked fireplaces, sat in the center of sizable tables as a centerpiece bowl, sans stand and rested on its stand atop a number of art display shelves and also served as a focal accent on a large sideboard. Its size is quite large, so please measure your space to ensure a great look and fit. Its inspiration comes from ribbon swirl patterns by Murano but do keep in mind, this is not a Murano. In excellent condition with little to no wear. FYI, many hand-blown glass objects contain small “included” air bubbles, some inside the glass and others right above or below the surface. These “included” air bubbles get trapped inside the heated glass during the blowing process and they remain in the finished piece. There are nine of “included bubbles” in this piece. I’ve attempted to show all in the photos but because the “included” bubbles are small, it is difficult to see them. When I purchased this beauty from a design store that is no longer, in the late 1980s I was aware of the “included” bubbles and felt it added character to the piece. Maker is unknown and the stand is included. When the bowl is placed on the stand it measures 21” x 19” x 9½” H/W/D; bowl alone measures 19” x 2½” D/H; stand alone when flat measures 15” x 15” x 2¾” H/W/D, stand solo propped up 15” x 15” x 9½” H/W/D; weight for bowl 8 lbs. 6 oz.; weight for stand 1 lb. 2 oz.; handcrafted from thick blown glass (smooth pontil on the bottom); colors for the bowl's body is a honey-like amber with chocolate brown ribbon swirls; stand has an antique bronze finish and is made from iron.
