I’ve had these boho beauties for over three decades. At one time they flanked our former home’s fireplace mantle, sideboard and console table. Made from Albesia wood, which is indigenous to Indonesia and the medium artisans there use most often for their decorative carvings. Since wood is an organic material, it shrinks across the grain with age and you will find a few fine line cracks, mostly on the upper rims that are mostly indiscernible and in no way affect integrity or structure. Each is approximately 16” high x 4¼” diameter at the top x 4½” diameter at the base; together they weigh 2 lbs. 11 oz.; muted rustic hand painted colors include teal, yellow, pumpkin, eggplant and turquoise on a distressed cocoa brown background; hand carved from Albesia wood with metal scoop “bowl” shape tops to cradle candles securely; felted bottoms to protect surfaces.
