This listing is for an early 19th century Austrian portico clock, dating to around 1810.
The casing is made from carved ebonized wood.
The columns are made from white marble. The dark casing is complimented by a metal dial.
The movement has 3 trains. The clock offers time, strike (for the hour), and repeater strike (for the 15 min, 30 min, 45 min, and hour).
This clock is quite large, measuring about 12.75 x 6.25 x 20 inches.
The clock is in overall good condition. Some signs of normal wear and age present, including some chipped and missing trim.
The movement was last serviced in 2016. We recently tested the clock. It ran after several tries. It’s probably due for a tune up as it had been in storage for a few years.
Chairish sells clocks solely to be intended for display. The mechanical elements are not guaranteed to be in working order by Chairish.
