Made in Japan, likely mid-to-late 20th century. Each expressive lion rests a paw upon an ornate, deep red ball embellished with intricate floral motifs, pierced designs, and vibrant blue, green, and gold accents. Their glossy white bodies feature delicate scrolling patterns, cobalt blue floral medallions, and beautifully sculpted manes and curling tails highlighted in gold. The complementary figures make a striking decorative pair, perfect for flanking a mantel, displaying on a console table, or adding a touch of traditional Asian artistry to a bookshelf or collected interior.
