The porcelain blanks were produced in Czechoslovakia (Bohemia) and hand-decorated in New York — the same documented pipeline behind retailer-decorated china of the era, such as Ovington's of New York.

Each plate features a pale powder blue ground rim with ornate raised gilt decoration: neoclassical fruit baskets and compotes, urns, acanthus scrolls, and arabesques, framed by a gilt lacework inner border on the cream well and a burnished gold rim. The Empire Revival taste makes this set equally suited to a formal dining table, a styled bar or entryway display, or a wall arrangement.

Each base carries the studio's hand-painted decorator marks — the pattern number 7 beneath the individual painter's tally — genuine hand-marking from the decorating workshop, not a stamped reproduction mark. See less
