Design Plus Gallery presents the Barcelona Lounge Chair by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe from KnollStudio. Originally designed in 1929, this iconic chair showcases the architectural influence of the Bauhaus movement through its sculptural form and geometric composition. The chair is upholstered in black leather with square button tufting across the seat and back cushions. Its polished chrome frame forms the signature X-shaped base, while leather support straps provide structure beneath the cushions. The KnollStudio engraving and designer’s signature are displayed on the metal frame, identifying its manufacturer and design heritage. The Barcelona Chair remains one of the most recognized furniture designs of the 20th century and continues to be produced by Knoll. It is in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage.
