Antique Art Nouveau silver-plated centerpiece bowl manufactured by the Wilcox Silver Plate Co.. It features the characteristic fluid lines and organic motifs of the Art Nouveau period, highlighted by high-relief depictions of blooming daffodils (narcissus) and sweeping, sinuous foliage along its undulating, scalloped rim.
The "9000" Series Coding: The Wilcox factory assigned serial/pattern numbers sequentially as new styles were introduced to their catalogs. Production numbers reaching the high 9100s correlate specifically with the manufacturing catalogs issued right at the close of the 19th century—distinctly 1899—just after Wilcox merged into the International Silver Company framework.
