At just 23" wide, these slim high-back armchairs fit where most wingbacks won’t, while their tall arched backs still give the presence of a full-size chair.

The compact size makes them an easy fit for apartments, narrow living rooms, bedroom corners, and reading nooks. They also work as host chairs at the ends of a dining table, as a matched pair flanking a fireplace or console, or as small accent chairs in an entry or hallway.

The chairs have gently flared wings, slim upholstered arms, and shaped seat fronts. They stand on mahogany cabriole front legs with pad feet, and the back legs are straight. The upholstery has a light butter-yellow ground with a subtle sheen, cream leafy vines with blush-pink berries, and narrow stripes in sage green and rose, finished with self-welting. The pattern is matched across the backs, seats, arms, and sides.

JUNE'S THOUGHTS
Short on space, not on style. That’s these two in a nutshell.

Every designer I know has a client with a room that needs a pair of chairs and no room for them. Most wingbacks are just too wide. So when I found these slim girls standing tall, I knew exactly who they were for. And can we talk about the fabric? That soft butter yellow is so happy. Somebody also took real care lining up every stripe from top to bottom. That kind of craftsmanship is hard to find today.

These two have a high opinion of themselves, and honestly, they’ve earned it. For me, their greatest appeal is that they offer the character of traditional English wing chairs without requiring the space those chairs usually demand.
