The Mart armchair is an iconic piece of Italian furniture design that seamlessly blends sculptural minimalism with ergonomic comfort. Its silhouette is instantly recognizable due to its fluid, uninterrupted lines and organic shape.
The chair's distinctive ergonomic shell is produced using a specialized thermoforming process to perfectly mold the leather upholstery over a curved fiberglass body.
A prominent, tight tonal hand-stitched detailing runs along the organic curve.
The upper body is supported by a slender, black lacquered steel cross-shaped swivel base that offers full 360-degree rotation while maintaining a very low profile, giving the heavy leather shell a floating, weightless appearance.
The chair is upholstered in a premium, beautifully patinated cognac brown leather that has been intentionally treated and heavily aged to showcase a weathered, vintage appearance with unique highlights and mottled color variation; the surface displays a complex gradient of warm tones, ranging from varying shades of amber, copper, and deep brown. It retains its organic characteristics; you can see subtle grain variations, minor creasing, natural markings, tiny pores, and light wear patterns that give the hide its vintage, unique depth and character.
