Crafted during the mid-20th century, this high-relief piece features an incredibly detailed, hand-painted pastoral scene of a Victorian or Rococo courting couple relaxing by an oak tree. The gentleman holds a stick attached to a miniature birdcage while two small lambs rest peacefully at his feet.
The incredible dimensionality of the figures, the detailed basket of flowers, and the intricate foliage accented with gold gilt leaves make this a standout conversational accent piece for a Hollywood Regency, Grandmillennial, or traditional interior.
The back of the plate features built-in factory hanging holes along the rim, making it ready to safely wire and wire-hang directly on your wall.
The reverse features the classic red crowned "N" hallmark and factory mold number 6239 A. See less
