A striking Space Age wall clock by Kienzle from the 1970s.
The transparent, square case provides an effective frame for the circular dial made of brushed metal. Twelve orange hour markers add precise color accents and give the design its distinctive graphic presence.
The clock's almost sculptural effect is particularly appealing. Transparency, metal, and color overlap to create a design that appears different depending on the light and lends the object a remarkable spatial depth. The clear geometry and the technical material contrast are integral to the futuristic design language of the Space Age.
Marked "Kienzle International" and "Made in Germany" on the dial.
A striking wall clock that transcends its function as a design object in its own right.
