These mid-century glasses are the "Pingviini" (Penguin) series designed by renowned glass artist Helena Tynell for the Finnish glassworks Riihimäen Lasi.
Produced in Finland during the 1960s, these distinctive tumblers are known for their elegant, organic curves, smoky grey color palette, and heavily weighted dark bases that mimic a penguin's silhouette. They were manufactured in various sizes ranging from small shot/schnapps glasses to larger cocktail and water tumblers. Similar hourglass smoke-glass styles from the era include the Luminarc "Fumé" collection from France.
