The loose, painterly decoration gives each plate its own character, with dragonflies arranged around a central medallion and surrounded by sweeping leaves, grasses, and scrolling border details.

Fine crazing throughout the vintage-like crackle glazing surface creates an intentionally aged, timeworn appearance reminiscent of antique Asian ceramics. Combined with the slightly warm ivory coloration and variations in the cobalt decoration, the finish gives the plates considerably more depth and character than a crisp modern white-and-blue dinnerware set.

Subtle variations from plate to plate complement the collected, artisan-made appearance of the set. At 7 inches in diameter, these are ideal for desserts, appetizers, bread, fruit, small salads, or tapas. They would also layer beautifully with larger blue-and-white Bat Trang dinner plates for an eclectic, collected tablescape.
