Beautiful, original mid-century ‘sunburst’ wall clock by the renowned German brand Junghans (model ATO-MAT electronic). An absolute eye-catcher for the vintage or Hollywood Regency enthusiast! This is the sought-after large luxury version with an impressive total diameter of 46 cm. The clock features a solid brass case in the shape of sunbeams and a convex glass hood set in a brass rim that opens via a hinge on the side.
Condition and operation: • Mechanical: The clock runs excellently and keeps perfect time on the original early electronic transistor movement (runs on a standard battery). • Appearance: The brass sunbeams are in beautiful, symmetrical condition. Over the years, the dial (22 cm) has acquired some authentic oxidation spots in the lacquer (see detail photos). This gives the clock a beautiful, weathered vintage character.
