Add a touch of historic Viennese elegance to your collection with this magnificent 19th-century Austrian ormolu figural mantel clock. Crafted in fire-gilt bronze, this piece beautifully blends Empire and Biedermeier styles with Rococo revival influences.
The striking composition features a charming figural putto or child holding a scroll beside the drum-shaped dial, balanced by a decorative globe and laurel branch. The case is richly adorned with embossed flower garlands, delicate scrolls, and flourishes, resting upon an oblong rocaille-form base elevated on six feet. The clock movement is clearly stamped by the renowned maker W. Schonberger Wien alongside the serial number 1159.
