A substantial Pulaski Furniture quarter-sawn oak poster bed with a dramatic four-poster design. The headboard and footboard feature highly figured quarter-sawn oak with pronounced grain, shaped crest rails, carved foliate and scrollwork decoration, and turned posts with multiple decorative rings and finials. The footboard has a graceful arched profile with a carved central cartouche and scrolling ornament.
The bed retains its original side rails and center support components and has a rich warm brown finish that highlights the distinctive oak grain.
