Rare, complete service for 12 of antique French porcelain cream soup bowls and matching underplates (24 pieces total). Handcrafted in Limoges, France by the renowned firm Tressemanes & Vogt (T&V), these turn-of-the-century treasures were retail-commissioned for the prestigious "La Cloche" line.
This amazing set features a vibrant, pastel-green paneled border interspersed with beautifully detailed, multi-colored floral bouquets. The center wells of both the footed, double-handled bowls and the gently scalloped underplates are anchored by heavy, heavily encrusted gold filigree and scrollwork. The rims and ornate handles are richly gilded in bright, heavy gold paint, making them a stunning addition to modern maximalist decor or traditional, formal dinner parties.
Each piece features the green overglaze bell mark reading "French China / T.V. / La Cloche" along with the Tressemanes & Vogt manufacturer backstamp, dating this complete service precisely to circa 1892–1907.
